Urban Design
Urban design contemplates the design and development of urban spaces in a truly multiple dimensional context. It considers not only the layout of lots, streets and spaces on the ground, but the built form context and how people will use the created urban environment. It also takes into consideration how this environment is used and how it is form used might evolve over time. It is about achieving a truly sustainable, energetic urban context that effectively interacts with and responds to the people that use it in as positive a way as possible. Masterplans Urban Design projects have included the Knutsford Green visioning exercise, the Crawley Village revitalisation plan and the award winning Scarborough Environs Area Strategy.
