Anzac Cottage

Masterplan was proud to sponsor the 90th Birthday 'Anzac Cottage' which is Western Australia's oldest war memorial. The house was built in a single day by the community of Mount Hawthorn and given to a wounded serviceman Private William Porter in 1916 on the first anniversary of the Anzac Landing. It was restored to its original condition by the Vietnam Veterans Association and its 90th birthday celebrated in style in 2006, was attended by amongst others the descendants of Private Porter. The cottage was the subject of a children's picture book published in 2007.
